Meet Cloie!
When I first got to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I was 22 and transferring as a sophomore. One major challenge I struggled with was finding a community that I fit into. Being 22 and just getting to a big University can be a daunting transition for anyone. After choosing to enroll in the College of Applied Health Sciences, I slowly started to learn that health is more than just what we do in the gym. Reflecting personally on the 8 dimensions of health and how they relate to me, made finding my own community that much easier. This is why I partnered with the Chez Veterans Center and used have used student affairs, 8 dimensions of wellness with resources fixed to military connected students. It is my high hopes that this will make it much easier for these students to find all the resources they need in order to maintain a balanced level of wellness with the different dimensions.
