Working collaboratively to support military-connected students.

The Chez Veterans Center strives to maintain a welcoming, helpful, and fun environment for our students and visitors. We want to ensure everyone we cross paths with feels valued and that our interactions are meaningful. We also understand, that this sometimes means learning how to interact with the population we work with. Whether it’s while with our students, campus faculty/staff, or community members, we work together to make a significant and visible societal impact.

Visit the Center

To prioritize service delivery to our students and to respect the privacy of our residents, tours are only available on a very limited basis during the Fall and Spring semesters on certain days of the month.

Request a Speaker

If you would like more information about the Chez Veterans Center at the University of Illinois, feel free to reach out  and request a speaker for your civic organization, non-profit, or Veterans group.

Request a Mental Health First Aid Training

For some military-connected students, the battle doesn’t end when they leave the battlefield. This also goes for civilians facing mental health challenges. Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues, helping trainees learn how to identify, understand, and respond to a mental health problem. You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental health crisis, than someone having a heart attack. Attend one of our regular trainings or schedule one for your team.

Military-Connected Applicants

If you’re a military-connected student interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree at UIUC, you’re in the right place. Military-connected students include active-duty members, veterans, and dependents of those in the US Military Service.
