Donate to the Center

Your financial support sends a powerful message of commitment to the long-term success of the Center and of the men and women who will secure a brighter future because it exists. A culture of excellence depends, in part, on an excellent infrastructure, and innovative programming and services. An investment in the Chez Veterans Center ensures that our student veterans have all the opportunities and support they need in which to work, create, live, and learn. The college seeks to establish a permanent $10M endowment to support the Chez Veterans.

If you would like to speak to someone about donating to the Center, please contact our Advancement Office at (217) 244-6600, College of Applied Health Sciences, 110 Huff Hall, 1206 S. Fourth St., Champaign, IL 61820

Austin shared that “The Center was instrumental in helping me secure an internship during my time at the University, and eventually a full-time position at Boeing” Read more about his journey here.

Robert shares “When I applied to UIUC I was on painkillers recovering from having two plates and ten screws placed in my ankle. Three weeks prior, I had a skydiving accident that also left me with a broken back. In this time of chaos, the CVC provided me with housing and peers who could relate to my life experiences, and when Tricare was out of reach they helped me get VA healthcare and the physical therapy that I needed. If it wasn’t for the CVC, I’m not sure if I would have the confidence to start school let alone my level of academic success.”

Rebecca shared “the Chez Veterans Center went gone above and beyond to create a living space that is both inclusive and very enjoyable. I have built long-lasting friendships this past semester, and am very grateful for the new network of Veterans I can now leverage. The various events throughout the semester are a great way to get everyone together and the entire staff is truly dedicated to each and every one of us.”

Jeannette medically retired from the Navy in August on 2017.  Jeannette shares “I decided to go back to school after retiring and the Chez Veterans Center was one of the factors in why I chose UIUC.  As an older, non-traditional student, who also needed accommodations and help that I was not used to asking for, the Chez Center made the transition and asking for that help much easier–I would not have been as successful without the assistance and camaraderie that the Center provided me.”
