Let the Chez Veterans Center help you with your career development. We offer personalized, one-on-one career guidance and we’ll help you identify career options that align with your skills and passions. We’ll share how to translate your military experience into civilian language, link you with vital industry mentors, assist with finding internships and jobs, and provide access to one of the largest alumni networks in the nation.

Career Events for FALL 2022

Career and Internship Fairs

The Gies Business School will be offering a one-day Business Virtual Career Fair from 10 AM – 3 PM on September 16th, During the fair, you will be able to engage with employers in two different ways: 1. Group sessions: 30 minutes each where multiple students can attend and 2. One-on-one 10 minute sessions and you will need to pre-register. Find out more details here and register below.

In addition, the Gies Business School will be offering a two-day In Person Career Fair on September 14th &15th at the iHotel (1900 South First St. Champaign, IL) from 1 PM – 6 PM. You will not need to register for this in-person career fair.

The Grainger College of Engineering two-day In-Person Career Fair will be hosted on Tuesday, September 13, and Wednesday, September 14th from 12-6 pm at the Illini Union,  1401 West Green Street, Urbana. In addition, they will also be hosting a Virtual Fair on September 19th, 2022 from 12 PM – 6 P

Career and Life Planning Workshops

1 on 1 Financial Consultation with Northwestern Mutual

Kurt Dorner and Matthias Pope from Northwestern Mutual will be providing free 1 on 1 financial consultations on April 20th from 2 to 6 PM for 30-minute appointments.   • Help families and individuals build towards mid-to-long term savings goals (optimize saving aligning to your goals and timelines, debt paydown)
