Meet Natalie! She’s currently majoring in Communication and minoring in Business—an intentional choice that reflects her interest in how people connect and how those connections play out in the professional world. Communication allows her to explore the way people share ideas and build relationships, while Business provides her with the tools to apply those skills in real-life situations.

In her free time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen by cooking and baking new recipes. For her, trying new foods is not just about eating—it’s about creating something from scratch and enjoying the process. She also loves relaxing by watching movies and TV shows with friends and family. Right now, her favorite series to rewatch is Harry Potter, a timeless classic that never gets old.
On campus, she’s involved in the October Lovers Club, a group dedicated to celebrating all things fall. From bonfires and haunted houses to corn mazes and themed events, the club offers fun, seasonal experiences that help students connect and unwind.
Her background as a military dependent has shaped much of who she is today. Her father, Stephen Koldenhoven, served 36 years in a blended military career that included Active Duty, the Reserves, and the Air National Guard. He worked as a Crew Chief and flight engineer on C-130s and eventually retired as a Master Sergeant. One of the toughest times for her was during her senior year of high school, when her father was activated and away for much of the year. Although it was challenging, it taught her resilience and deepened her appreciation for his service.

Looking ahead, she hopes to become a real estate paralegal while working toward law school or stepping into the corporate business world. Her studies in Communication and Business are giving her a strong foundation to explore her options and build a future that aligns with her passions and skills.
