Current Course Offerings: Supporting Student Transitions, Community Building, and Career Readiness

The Chez Veterans Center is excited to offer academic courses designed specifically for military-connected students to help ease the transition to higher education, build meaningful community connections, and prepare for career success. Offered in collaboration with the College of Applied Health Sciences, these courses complement our wraparound support services—such as academic and career coaching, mentoring, and wellness resources—to ensure students thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Fall 2025 Courses

  • Building Bridges for Military Veterans and Reservists to Academic and Professional Excellence

    A first-year experience course helping veterans and service members successfully transition to university life through cultural integration, self-awareness, goal setting, and resilience. Blends flexible online learning with an individually scheduled weekly in-person session.
  • Career Development for Military-Connected Students
    Term B (10/20–12/10) | AHS 199-CV3 | CRN 68462
    Equips students with tools for career success in both civilian and federal sectors, covering resumes, interviews, networking, employee rights, and advancement. Includes flexible online coursework and a weekly in-person session scheduled with each student.
  • Building Community Connections Through Civic Engagement for Military Veterans
    Term B (10/20–12/10) | AHS 199-CV2 | CRN 54567
    A second-year experience course encouraging veterans and reservists to channel their military skills into community leadership and service through volunteer work and skill-building activities. Features weekly in-person sessions and online learning.
