Finals Week can be a stressful time for students, but thanks to the generosity and heart of longtime supporter Naomi Winslow, the Chez Veterans Center was filled with warmth, comfort, and the sweet smell of homemade cookies.
Naomi Winslow spent time baking Finals Week goodies in the Chez Veterans Center kitchen—bringing a much-needed dose of holiday spirit to student Veterans right when they needed it most. The kitchen, which proudly bears her name, became a place of connection and care as students stopped by to enjoy fresh treats and a moment of pause during an otherwise demanding week.
Winslow’s support of the Chez Veterans Center is deeply personal. She honors the legacy of her late husband, Wayne Winslow, who served in both the Army and the Air Force, through her continued commitment to supporting Veterans and military-connected students. Over the years, Naomi has generously shared her time, resources, and one of her greatest joys [such as baking] with the local Veteran community.
For our students, these moments matter. A homemade cookie, a welcoming smile, and the reminder that someone believes in them can make all the difference during finals. Naomi’s presence and generosity exemplify the spirit of the Chez Veterans Center: community, care, and connection.
We are incredibly grateful to Naomi Winslow for helping make the Chez Veterans Center feel like home—especially during one of the most challenging weeks of the semester.
