2025 Veterans Day Celebration

The Chez Veterans Center invites you to join us in honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes during our annual Veterans Day program. This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Major General (Ret.) James H. Mukoyama, Jr., a distinguished University of Illinois alumnus and decorated combat veteran.

Major General Mukoyama’s remarkable career spans over three decades of military service, including combat tours in Korea and Vietnam, and a lifelong dedication to supporting veterans and military families. His leadership, courage, and continued commitment to service embody the spirit of Veterans Day.

We welcome all members of the campus and local community to join us in this special tribute as we recognize and celebrate those who have served.

AHS Homecoming Tailgate Party

(This event took place on Saturday, September 27, 2025.)

All AHS alumni and friends were invited to join us at our tailgate tent at Memorial Stadium | Grange Grove prior to the Illinois vs. USC football game. Guests enjoyed complimentary food and drinks, celebrated the Chez Veterans Center’s 10th anniversary, and honored this year’s distinguished AHS alumni.

We thank everyone who joined us for this festive gathering and for supporting the ongoing mission of the Chez Veterans Center.

10th Anniversary Celebration & End-of-Year Event

The Chez Veterans Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invited all military-connected students to join us for our 10th Anniversary Celebration and End-of-Year Event.

This special occasion served as a moment to reflect on a decade of service to military-affiliated students and to celebrate the close of another successful academic year. We honored the achievements of our student community—including those completing their first semester, continuing their academic journey, or graduating that spring.
